About Us
Our Story
Bleed was born in 2008 from a simple but powerful idea: fashion should never come at the cost of the planet, animals, or the people who make it. Founded by German skateboarder Michael Spitzbarth, Bleed set out to prove that style and sustainability aren't opposites — they're inseparable.
Where It All Began
Michael Spitzbarth started Bleed in 2008 with a skateboarder's mindset: challenge the norm, push boundaries, and do things differently. Frustrated by an industry that prioritized profit over people and planet, he built a brand rooted in transparency, ethics, and a genuine love for the outdoors and street culture.
Our Mission
From day one, Bleed has been committed to three core principles:
- Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Every product we make is 100% free from animal-derived materials. No wool, no leather, no compromise.
- Sustainable Materials – We use organic, recycled, and responsibly sourced fabrics to minimize our environmental footprint.
- Fair Production – We work only with factories that uphold fair wages, safe working conditions, and ethical labor practices.
Recognized for Doing Good
Our commitment to ethical fashion has been recognized by leading voices in sustainable style, including Good On You, Vegconomist, and Attitude Organic. We're proud of these acknowledgments, but our real motivation is the impact we make — not the accolades.
More Than Clothing
Bleed is a community of people who believe that what you wear is a statement about what you stand for. Whether you're skating, hiking, or just living your life, our gear is made to move with you — without leaving a heavy footprint behind.
